Applied Mathematics Meets Retail: Exploring Collaboration Opportunities with Aurora
May 16, 2025 at 12:00
This week, 2nd- and 3rd-year students of the Department of Applied Mathematics visited one of the central offices of the Aurora Multimarket retail chain. The visit took place within the framework of the national project Aurora Students.
During the visit, the students, accompanied by Professor Oleh Romanovych Chertov, had the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the company's operations, becoming familiar with its core corporate values, departmental structure, and internal business processes.
A key part of the meeting was a focused discussion on potential areas of collaboration, particularly the ways in which students’ deep academic knowledge and analytical tools acquired at the department could be applied to solve real business challenges at Aurora Multimarket and contribute to the company’s future growth.
One especially exciting piece of news for our students was the announcement of internship opportunities at Aurora Multimarket — a great chance to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and gain valuable professional experience in a large-scale retail environment.
The department administration sincerely thanks Aurora Multimarket for organizing the visit, their openness to dialogue, and their willingness to invest in the development of the next generation of professionals.
We are confident that such practical initiatives are extremely beneficial for students and contribute to strengthening the link between education and business.
We look forward to the continued development of this fruitful collaboration!
