FSSAM Open House
January 23, 2026 at 12:36
Choosing a future major is a complex equation with many unknowns. To help prospective students find the right solution, our faculty hosted an Open House on January 15, where rigid presentations took a back seat to honest, open conversation. This time, we intentionally stepped away from traditional academic lectures. Our goal was to create a space for direct dialogue between generations: those who are already building the future of technology, and those who are just planning their journey.

Highlights of the Event:
🔹 Intellectual Networking: Games of Mafia, Codenames, and Spyfall served as excellent tools to test logical reasoning and break the ice between prospective students and their future peers.
🔹 Tea & Talk: In a casual atmosphere over tea, faculty and current students shared real insider insights—ranging from exam prep strategies to career prospects after graduation.
🔹 Firsthand Experience: We firmly believe that the real-world success stories of our current students are the best proof of the high-quality education our faculty provides.

As a reminder, our faculty—recently rebranded as the Faculty of Software Systems and Applied Mathematics (FSSAM)—continues its tradition of elite training across three core tracks:
📍 F1 — Applied Mathematics (The foundation of analytical thinking)
📍 F2 — Software Engineering
📍 F7 — Computer Engineering

A huge thank you to all the participants for your energy and sharp questions! Your enthusiasm is the best indicator that we are moving in the right direction.
We hope this meetup helped you experience the unique intellectual spirit of our department and faculty.
We can’t wait to welcome you into the FSSAM student community! 🚀

Special thanks for the organization and support goes out to the President of the FSSAM Student Council, Maksym Sokolnytskyi; our alumnus and instructor, Valerii Buslaiev; and students Valeriia Baranivska, Iryna Nalyvaiko, Matvii Tereshchenko, and Paviel Ulanovskyi!
