On August 31, 2026, two PhD theses were successfully defended at the Department of Applied Mathematics in specialty 113 "Applied Mathematics" (Field of Study 11 "Mathematics and Statistics"):

• Dmytro Koltsov successfully defended his dissertation:

  "Corotational beam spline method for curve matching and corner detection in images"

• Anton Kozyriev successfully defended his dissertation:

  "Stochastic quantization methods for scalable big data cluster analysis"
