<p><strong>ML WEEK 2025 – an Intensive Week of Machine Learning!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Dates:</strong> January 26 – February 1, 2025<br><strong>Location:</strong> Educational and Wellness Camp "Politekhnic-2" (Lviv region, Slavske, Ivana Franka St., 49)</p>
<p><strong>What is ML Week?</strong><br>ML Week is a unique intensive educational and practical platform for students of KPI, NULP, KhPI, and OP, bringing together talents to solve real-world challenges using machine learning.</p>
<p><strong>Main goals:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Immersion into cutting-edge methods of Data Science and Computer Vision.</li>
<li>Practical application of machine learning to real-world challenges.</li>
<li>Development of soft skills: teamwork, leadership, and communication.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Event highlights:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Participants:</strong> Students from 4 universities, around 20 inter-university teams.</li>
<li><strong>Free participation:</strong> Accommodation, meals, and transportation for students are fully covered by sponsors.</li>

ML WEEK 2025

<p>Starting from December 2, 2024, our colleague Danylo Tavrov, Academic Secretary of the Department of Applied Mathematics, will concurrently hold the position of the Head of the <a href="https://osvita.kpi.ua/node/1295" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Department for Norms and Monitoring of Faculty Workload at the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute</a>.</p>
<p>This department will be responsible for organizing the collection and analysis of the data from other university departments with the aim of summarizing metrics of educational process quality. Also the new department will engage in setting standards for teaching, research, and other types of workload.</p>
<p>We wish our colleague success in this new and responsible role!</p>

<p>On September 9, the head of the department, <a href="/en/teachers/oleg-chertov" target="_self">Oleh Chertov</a>, and associate professors <a href="/en/teachers/iryna-yehorchenko" target="_self">Iryna Yehorchenko</a> and <a href="/en/teachers/danylo-tavrov" target="_self">Danylo Tavrov</a> met with <span id=":rhgv:" class="x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x1lliihq x1s928wv xhkezso x1gmr53x x1cpjm7i x1fgarty x1943h6x xudqn12 x676frb x1lkfr7t x1lbecb7 xk50ysn xzsf02u x1yc453h" dir="auto">Michael Simbirsky</span>, the treasurer of the non-profit organization <a href="https://novaukraine.org/about-us/" target="_self">Nova Ukraine</a> based in the USA. The meeting was also attended by Anna Hlugovska, the assistant director of the Ukrainian branch of Nova Ukraine, and staff members Zoya Aleksandrova and Vadym Martynovskyi. The participants discussed current educational challenges in Ukraine and ways to address them, and exchanged ideas on deepening cooperation between the organizations.</p>
