Machine Learning Week (ML Week 2025) has been acknowledged by the Applied Mathematics Department’s partner — the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI).

The Department of Applied Mathematics has been a member of ECMI since 2010.

European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI)

• Year of Establishment: 1986
• Main Goal: To popularize and advance the applications of mathematics in industry and business, as well as to foster collaboration between academia and enterprises throughout Europe.

Main Areas of Activity:

1. Education and Professional Training

   • Coordination of industrial mathematics programs at universities
   • Organization of schools, workshops, and seminars for students and young researchers

   • Creation of joint projects that bring together mathematicians and industry representatives
