Machine Learning Week (ML Week 2025) has been acknowledged by the Applied Mathematics Department’s partner — the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI).
"ML Week 2025 exemplifies the resilience and dedication of the Ukrainian academic and technological community in advancing education despite ongoing challenges. By fostering collaboration between universities and industry, the event provided students with hands-on experience in machine learning, preparing them for future careers in AI and data science. This initiative stands as a testament to the power of education and innovation in times of adversity." the ECMI website news states.
"Despite the ongoing war, Ukrainian universities, lead by Oleg Chertov, continue to push the boundaries of education and innovation. … This event exemplifies the resilience, talent, and dedication of Ukraine’s academic and tech communities. We are proud to see students continue to innovate and grow despite challenging circumstances!" noted Matthias Ehrhardt, Board Member of the ECMI Educational Committee, on LinkedIn.
The Department of Applied Mathematics has been a member of ECMI since 2010.
