MATHS-DISC: Studies Have Started
May 13, 2026 at 12:21
On April 13, 2026, three students from our research-focused Master’s program—Danylo Reznyk, Anton Pieshkov, and Arsenii Shaparenko—officially began their studies at Bergische Universität Wuppertal (University of Wuppertal, Germany) as part of the global MATHS-DISC program.
After earning spots in the highly prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree program, these students selected this top-tier German university as their host institution for their second academic semester, which will run through July 30.
Our master's students are spending their second semester at BUW specializing in "Computer Simulation in Science." Their core academic curriculum is focused on the intensive study of advanced computational methodologies and data analysis pipelines. In Wuppertal, their academic advisor is Professor Matthias Ehrhardt. The students have shared overwhelmingly positive feedback about their experience so far, highlighting the exceptional caliber of instruction and the immense value of fully immersing themselves in the European higher education area.
This achievement by our 2025 cohort is not only a stellar personal milestone for them, but also serves as an inspiring blueprint for those who follow. With the selection process for the 2026 cohort having just recently wrapped up, we hope this example provides powerful motivation for the incoming students who will soon embark on their own journeys within the MATHS-DISC program.
We wish Danylo, Anton, and Arsenii a highly productive semester and continued academic success in Germany, and we wish our future participants boundless drive as they prepare to conquer new academic heights!
