On June 6, the Applied Mathematics Department hosted an Open House for prospective applicants and their parents.

During the event, applicants were introduced to specialty F1 "Applied Mathematics", the department’s educational programme "Machine Learning and Mathematical Modelling", the curriculum, and the core fields of professional training. Special emphasis was placed on the opportunities that applied mathematics opens up in the modern world.

A key part of the event featured a demonstration of students' practical work. Prospective students had the opportunity to view student projects in Data Science, Computer Vision, and mathematical modelling, as well as to discover how mathematical methods, algorithms, and models are applied to analyse data, generate forecasts, and solve real-world problems.

A dedicated session of the meeting was focused on direct interaction with lecturers, current students, and department representatives. Attendees received answers to their questions regarding the educational process, learning opportunities, student life, career prospects, and the admissions campaign.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for prospective applicants to gain a closer insight into the Applied Mathematics Department, its educational offerings, and the tangible results of its students' work.
