From June 16-19, Professor Igor Orynyak from our department completed a research stay under the DAAD program, taking part in the International Week of Teaching and Global Collaboration at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft, Berlin).

Professor Orynyak delivered a talk entitled "Method of Matched Sections for Solving Multiphysics Problems Formulated as Partial Differential Equations", in which he introduced the international audience to a unique method for solving systems of partial differential equations. This method of matched sections has the potential to compete with the widely used finite element method.
