New Certificate Program at the Department
March 17, 2026 at 13:12
📢 We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in the expansion of our department's educational opportunities. The University Methodological Council has officially approved a new English-language certificate program: Mathematical Methods of Machine Learning and Optimisation in Advertising Technology, developed in strategic partnership with Simulmedia.
The program's launch event took place among the department's faculty and students who, despite a prolonged air raid siren, arrived in person to meet with Simulmedia CEO Dave Morgan.
🛠 Professional Focus & Innovation
The curriculum is specifically engineered to train specialists capable of solving highly complex challenges in the Advertising Technology (AdTech) sector. The program spans 20 ECTS credits and covers the most prominent fields in modern artificial intelligence:
Data Analytics & the AdTech Ecosystem: Mastering market architectures, programmatic infrastructure, and core performance metrics.
Applied Machine Learning: Engineering predictive pipelines, propensity modeling, and advanced audience segmentation.
Operations Research: Applying mathematical optimization frameworks to budget allocation and resource management.
Deep Reinforcement Learning: Leveraging reinforcement learning paradigms to automate real-time decision-making.
Generative AI: Deploying Transformer architectures and Large Language Models (LLMs) for practical industry use cases.
🌍 International Standards & Hands-On Training
A defining feature of this program is that it is taught entirely in English, featuring lectures from American industry experts, giving our students direct exposure to the global tech market and industry-standard terminology. The coursework is built upon a heavy experiential learning component, utilizing raw corporate datasets, cloud computing via Amazon Web Services (AWS), and guest lectures from Silicon Valley and Wall Street practitioners.
The launch of this cutting-edge program firmly solidifies the Applied Mathematics Department's position as one of the premier hubs for Machine Learning education in Ukraine.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Simulmedia and personally to CEO Dave Morgan for their steadfast, continuous support of Ukraine and our department! 🚀
