  • About me

Since when have you been working as a teacher at KPI?

    Since 1977.

    What subjects do you teach?

"Computer Networks, Modeling of Complex Systems, Fundamentals of Scientific Research and Organization of Science, Design of Automated Systems.

What academic degree do you have?

    Candidate of Technical Sciences.

    What are your hobbies?

My hobby is working with students. I am most proud of my students. In my free time I work.

If all the books in the world disappeared and you could keep only one copy, what would you choose?

It's scary to even imagine such a situation. I love contemporary writers, for example, Lina Kostenko.

If you caught a goldfish, what wishes would you make?

I breed goldfish. All my students are goldfish.

"Live forever and learn forever." What have you studied or learned recently?

This is the way of existence of a modern person that I profess.

What did you want to become as a child?

I grew up in a family of teachers, so I think my dream has come true.

What was your student life like?

It was much poorer than the life of today's students, but much more interesting. There was no Internet, ears weren't plugged with earbuds, and people talked much more. "Before, when friends greeted each other, they shook hands, but now they pull out their headphones."

Do you have any favorites among students?

I love all the students. Among the latter, I am very proud of, for example, Kolya Kozlenko, Pavlo Lissov - he defended his dissertation and is working in Austria, Andriy and Serhiy Vozniuk - PhD students in Switzerland, Kolya Kurutin - working in Silicon Valley, Sasha Maistrenko - worked at IBM's research laboratory in Zurich, successfully defended his dissertation, Andriy Ryabushenko - brilliantly defended his PhD thesis and implemented the results of his work at UBS Bank in London, Pavlo Yuriychuk - worked in New York as a programmer, Sergiy Prysyazhny - was the first in Ukraine to develop a Ukrainian secure operating system based on FREE BSD, and many other students.

Is it a pity to expel students?

I initiated the expulsion of only one student in 40 years. The reason for this was not quite tactful behavior of the latter.

You often hear that previous courses were better than the current ones. How do you feel about this opinion? Is it true that the quality of education at school in our country is deteriorating every year?

Unfortunately, the quality of education from kindergarten, school and university education has deteriorated significantly. Nevertheless, I am pleased to note that in each group of students in the 5th and 6th year, 20 percent are extremely talented students. That is, a lot of talented children are born in Ukraine, but they, of course, need a pastor, a teacher. The situation of deteriorating quality of education is a problem for our country, which depends on how society views its future.
