Using LaTeX
At the Department of Applied Mathematics, students are encouraged to use the LaTeX (pronounced "lee-tek") document formatting system to prepare reports for laboratory work, term papers and projects, as well as final certification papers.
LATEX is a computer-based publishing system. Its main purpose is to prepare scientific documents. This system was developed on the basis of the TEX system.
To work with this system you need:
- 01establish its implementation
An implementation of MikTeX has been developed for Windows. Since the basic version of this implementation does not include Cyrillic fonts, which are required at the department when processing documents, it is recommended to download (~235 MB) the port version of the implementation, which integrates these fonts
- 02install the source file editor
You can use any of the available ones, for example, TexnicCenter.
