Student life

It is said that a student who has not lived in a dormitory for at least a week is not a real student. It is the dormitory that gives you the opportunity to learn how to find a common language with different people, allows you to assert yourself and master the art of self-organization. There is no such thing as a "private life" in a dorm, because you are never left alone with yourself. Your neighbors are always present in your room, and other residents are bustling around the clock in the corridor, so your private life is already turning into an illusion in a way. But on the other hand, you always have loyal friends by your side who will support you in a difficult moment! A dormitory is a school of life!

  • Room life

Each student room in the dormitory has an area of 18 square meters. There are 4 people living in the room. Typically, the room contains 2 bunk beds, 4 tables (3 desks and 1 kitchen table), 4 chairs (one for each resident), 2 double bookshelves, 4 bedside tables, 4 built-in wardrobes and 4 built-in shelves for personal belongings. This furniture is provided to each student by the dormitory. Students buy all electrical appliances at their own expense (e.g., refrigerator, kettle, iron, etc.).
Each student is provided with a mattress, pillow, blanket and bed linen. Bed linen is exchanged monthly in the castellation. Curtains are also provided for the room. Students make repairs in the room at their own expense.
Each student has the right to place their own computer in their room. To access the Internet, you need to connect a local network and then choose a satisfactory tariff. The network connection service is provided by KPI-Telecom.

  • Arrangement of floors

There are 2 shared kitchens on each floor. The kitchens have 2 stoves (for safety reasons, the ovens in the stoves are turned off), 2 tables and 2 sinks. The kitchens are open around the clock.

There are also two shared washrooms on the floor, which have 6 sinks and mirrors, as well as a place for drying clothes.

  • Social work

Each student has to work 20 hours of social work every year. Such work may include cleaning the common area (except for the toilet), helping the administration and student council, etc.

  • Sanitary condition

Every student is obliged to keep the dormitory clean. It is forbidden to leave garbage in public places. For violations of cleanliness, the student council has the right to charge additional hours of work and apply more severe methods of punishment.
The room must also be in good condition. Every month, a social worker or representatives of the student council check the sanitary condition of each room. If it is found to be in poor condition, the residents of that room may not be accommodated for the next year. Pets are not allowed in the room.
