Senior lecturer of the department Serhiy Kopychko was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine"

On August 21, 2020, Serhiy Kopychko, a senior lecturer at the Applied Mathematics Department, was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine" by Decree №335 / 2020 of the President of Ukraine V. Zelensky "On the awarding of state awards of Ukraine on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine" (https://www.president.gov.ua/documents/3352020-34805).
Mr. Kopychko has been working at the Applied Mathematics Department of KPI since its foundation in 1973 and until now.

Entrance exam results from August 19

Obviously, most applicants will take this test at the second stage, that is, on August 26.
Please, seriously prepare for this exam, because, as the results of the first stage show, not everyone was able to cope with the tasks given for this exam.

Congratulations to the faculty of our department with a successful participation at the conference CLNLP-2020 (Seoul, South Korea)!

As part of the NATO CyRADARS project, a group of researchers, which includes faculty of our department Maksym Shchoholiev, Oleh Andriichuk, Violeta Tretynyk, as well as the head of the DSS laboratory of the Institute for Information Recording Vitaly Tsyganok, prepared an article and report for the CLNLP-2020 conference.

According to the results of the conference, the paper of our researchers was recognized as the best in its section and awarded a certificate!

Oleh Andriichuk, lecturer of the Applied Mathematics Department - winner of the sailing regatta "Pereyaslav Cup 2020"

31.07.2020 - 02.08.2020 the sailing regatta "Pereyaslav Cup 2020" took place, in which the trimaran "Tarpan", the crew of which included Oleh Andriychuk, the lecturer of the Applied Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, finished first and took first place in the class of multi-hull.
Our congratulations to Dr. Andriichuk on this successful action!
Further victories, and not only in sailing!

The entrance professional examination for the master's degree in 2020 will take place in two stages

Due to the epidemic situation and the continuation of quarantine, the entrance examination for the master's degree in 2020 for the specialty "Applied Mathematics" in the educational program "Data Science and Mathematical Modeling" will take place in two stages in the auditorium 111 building 7:
• Stage I.  August 19 at 10 a.m.
• Stage II. August 26 at 10 a.m.
This is done so that those entrants who received an “unsatisfactory” or very low grade in the first stage can try to enter another specialty during the second stage.
