Sir Roger Penrose visited KPI

Today the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", hosted a lecture by Sir Roger Penrose «Seeing Signals From Before the Big Bang». The lecture was held at the Academic Council hall (building № 1). Here Sir Roger Penrose was also presented the honorable professorial mantle and the title of Honorary Doctor of NTUU "KPI". 

Sir Roger Penrose (born 8 August 1931), is an English mathematical physicistrecreational mathematicianphilosopher and Emeritus Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics at the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford, as well as Emeritus Fellow of Wadham College.
He is internationally renowned for his scientific work in mathematical physics, in particular his contributions to general relativity and cosmology. He has received a number of prizes and awards, including the 1988 Wolf Prize for physics which he shared with Stephen Hawking for their contribution to our understanding of the universe.
