Microsoft Imagine Cup 2015

The thirteenth season of the world's student technology competition Imagine Cup 2015 is about to begin. Imagine Cup competitors compete in creating projects that address the Imagine Cup theme: “Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems.”

This year, competitors can choose one of the three paths: the Games Competition, the Innovation Competition, or the World Citizenship Competition. Each one is a different path including four contests: the Pitch Video Challenge, the Project Blueprint Challenge, the User Experience Challenge, and the main competition itself.

Also, this year a new coding competition is introduced, the Code Hunt Challenge. It will help the students build their programming skills and gives a chance to win cash prizes. The contest is being carried out in partnership with Microsoft Research the third weekend of every month from now until April 2015. For 48 hours, students can solve quick coding puzzles developed by the pros. The winner each month receives a $1,000 prize. All participants have a chance to win the $5,000 grand prize at the end of the season.

The Imagine Cup competition is sponsored and hosted by Microsoft Corp.
